Beautify Londonderry defers Welcome sign replacement, plans refurbishment

Beautify Londonderry · Meeting of April 21, 2026

NH LONDONDERRY — The Beautify Londonderry Committee voted unanimously to postpone replacing Welcome to Londonderry signs. Chair Joy Fraga-Muller led the meeting with members Beth Murray, John Mahon, and John Loker present. The committee, considering a replacement estimated at approximately $6,500, determined certain signs have limited roadside visibility and opted to refurbish existing posts during school vacation week instead.

The committee launched a fundraising campaign, with Chair Fraga-Muller drafting an appeal letter to past supporters emphasizing civic pride and highlighting value for business donors. Promotional strategies discussed include marching in the Old Home Day parade and sending monthly emails featuring sponsor names.
