NH LONDONDERRY — Londonderry Budget Committee targets $400,000 in town spending cuts. Led by Chair Joseph Gagnon, the committee is identifying municipal budget reductions while backing the school district's operating budget, which came in approximately $295,000 below the default budget and projects a $548,000 state revenue increase if voters approve full-day kindergarten. The committee reached consensus to preserve $20,000 for Old Home Day fireworks and expressed concerns about a proposal to cut $150,000 from fire overtime, citing risks from unfilled positions.
A $3.3 million Morrison House renovation bond drew strong committee opposition. Final budget votes are scheduled for January 20.
