NH LONDONDERRY — Conservation Commission backs $23,300 acquisition for Black Brook. The Londonderry Conservation Commission voted unanimously to recommend that the Town Council purchase a 1.5-acre wetlands parcel at 144 Rear Wildwood Road for $23,300 to extend protections along Black Brook; the property owner will accept the assessed value minus transaction costs. Alternate member Michael Speltz presented the proposal for Map 3 Lot 9, which would continue a long series of existing conservation protections.

The Commission also reviewed two development proposals and submitted conservation-focused comments to the Planning Board on a 151-unit condominium conversion at Pillsbury Road and a subdivision at Litchfield Road, flagging concerns about buffer encroachment and wetlands impacts.
