Council shifts bridge funding priority to Hall Road

NH LONDONDERRY — Londonderry Town Council unanimously reallocates bridge funding to higher-priority Hall Road Bridge project. Vice Chair Shawn Faber moved and Councilor Ted Combes seconded the authorization for Town Manager Shaun Mulholland to request reallocation of approximately $2 million in New Hampshire State Aid Bridge Program funding from Stokes Road Bridge to Hall Road Bridge. Hall Road, carrying 1,980 average annual daily trips, is a critical east-west connection for residents and emergency response; Stokes Road serves only an isolated neighborhood with 29 daily trips.
The Council also voted 3-2 to approve engagement letters for Sheehan Phinney and Shaheen and Gordon for legal counsel, revealing divisions within the Council on law firm selection.
