Leach Library Board accepts gifts, approves director bonus after public apology

NH LONDONDERRY — Leach Library Board accepts donations, approves interim director bonus. The Board unanimously approved $398 in unanticipated funds from local businesses and the Londonderry Historical Society for summer reading prizes and programming, and unanimously awarded Interim Library Director Donna Plante a merit bonus of $3,368.46. Chair Nancy Hendricks delivered a public apology on behalf of the current Board to Senior Library Technician Colleen Magdziarz regarding conduct of the previous Board, acknowledging the past year had been "chaotic at best and disrespectful at worst." Building remediation work is nearly complete, with the children's room expected to finish within days and carpet replacement anticipated to begin within the month.
