NH LONDONDERRY — Leach Library Board of Trustees implements $51,000 budget cut for fiscal 2027, eliminating services including Hoopla, digital databases, and all-ages programming. Chair Nancy Hendricks' board voted 5 to 2 to accept the cuts proposed by Interim Library Director Donna Plante, with Trustees Moira Ryan and Jan McLaughlin dissenting. The board also voted 5 to 2 to designate $10,000 from the Trustee account to the book fund and voted 6 to 1 to approve $3,750 for replacing three main-floor toilets.
Five budget-line transfers totaling $113,533.30 were approved unanimously to shift funding toward programming and electronic resources. The board accepted a $1,277.49 memorial gift from Keri Berry for a reading nook in the Children's Room.
