Leach Library Trustees approve ethics code and CIP budget submissions

NH LONDONDERRY — Leach Library Trustees approved the New Hampshire Library Trustees Association Code of Ethics and authorized Interim Director Donna Plante to submit two Capital Improvement Plan proposals totaling roughly $150,000 for fiscal years 2028-2033. The board also gave consensus approval for using an NH Humanities Community Project Grant and private donations to cover a $2,522 performer fee for a summer program. Chair Nancy Hendricks announced that the Town Council has unanimously appointed Maryam Mallick as the seventh trustee, effective May 7.
The board, operating under a town-mandated budget freeze for discretionary spending, expects mold remediation and carpeting to be completed in late June or early July, with furniture delivery six to eight weeks out.
