Leach Library trustees green-light $7,393 in pre-reopening repairs and services

NH LONDONDERRY — Leach Library trustees approve emergency repairs and pre-reopening services totaling roughly $7,393. Interim Library Director Donna Plante reported that mold retesting next week will determine the final reopening date, with roof testing and carpeting installation ongoing. The board unanimously approved emergency purchasing authority for Rooftop Unit 1 repairs, $2,400 for professional construction cleaning, $1,750 for floor stripping and waxing, $950 for Assabet Interactive room booking module setup and annual service, and up to $1,800 for tree trimming around the building.
The board also voted unanimously to continue the A-1 Phoenix janitorial contract at $2,195 per month with a 4 percent cost reduction, and accepted unanticipated funds totaling $1,398.67 in donations and books from the Friends of Leach Library and an anonymous donor.
