Sewer subcommittee charts septic tank education plan

NH LONDONDERRY — Londonderry's Sewer/Solid Waste Subcommittee outlined a multi-channel septic tank maintenance education initiative. Martha Smith volunteered to draft the initial video script, while Ray Breslin suggested direct mailings to households flagged as at-risk to conservation lands or public water sources. The three-member panel decided not to participate in Old Home Days this year.

John Mahon highlighted Sweden's waste management success, where only one percent of residential waste reaches landfills through waste-to-energy programs and student education initiatives.
