NH LONDONDERRY — Town Council approves easement for Derry water station on landfill property. Chair Ron Dunn and the five-member Council unanimously authorized Town Manager Shaun Mulholland to negotiate and execute an easement allowing the Town of Derry to construct and operate a water booster pump station on the Auburn Road Landfill Site, with construction intended for 2026. The Council also unanimously approved a $7,500 sale of town-owned right-of-way land to PurposeEnergy to support the proposed Southern New Hampshire Green Energy Campus on North Wentworth Avenue.
In related action, the Council voted unanimously to repeal Municipal Code Title IV, Chapter X, the Emergency Management Plan, to preserve the town's eligibility for state and federal emergency management funding.
