NH LONDONDERRY — Leach Library trustees approved a $1.66M fiscal 2028 budget and advanced staffing requests to the ballot. Chair Nancy Hendricks led the board in a 6-0 vote to increase the Maintenance and Repairs line to $35,000 and to advance warrant articles for a union contract, a full-time library technician, and a full-time executive assistant. Union negotiations have cost the library $26,624 since December 2025.
The board also voted unanimously to establish a $20,000 non-capital maintenance reserve fund and approved a fine-free library policy in a 5-1 vote.
