NH LONDONDERRY — Londonderry Utilities Committee advances strategic planning with public engagement calendar. The committee set workshops for April and a public hearing before the Town Council in May. A January 28 Water Town Hall drew approximately 125 residents—well above expectations—with strong interest in water service expansion.
The town's Freedom Energy aggregation partner will host a public information session March 7 at the high school cafeteria; all Eversource customers will be automatically enrolled with an opt-out option. Director of Public Works James Danis is researching solar farm feasibility on FAA land, potentially including a 20-year lease arrangement. The Sewer and Solid Waste Subcommittee shelved an $8,000 recycling-accuracy mobile app pending further cost review.
